Allegheny Brokerage Company was founded to provide industries in the New River and Roanoke Valley Regions a comprehensive capability for clearing customs with exports and imports, utilizing our local U.S. Customs office. Services include:

• Local US Customs clearing, through Port #1412 (New River Valley International Airport) and Port #2082 (Tri-Cities Regional Airport).

• Paired entry clearance from all other US ports for shipments destined to US Customs District 14 and District 20.

• Remote Filing Capability. We are authorized to file remote import clearances under authority of National Permit Number 99-00593.

• Freight Forwarding, to advise clients of the best rates, routings and modes of transporting goods to or from any area in the world. Using the wide variety of resources at our disposal, we find the "right match" of services available so that products are moved by the most timely and cost-effective means. The large volume of freight handled gives us advantages not always available to either individual shippers or integrated carriers.

• Advice and guidance regarding duty drawback (the practice of recovering duties paid on imported products intended for re-export.)

• Assistance in preparing the ATA Carnet, which enables company representatives to travel through many countries without paying import duties or fees on their sales samples.

• Advice and guidance on developing internal company processes and procedures for product export, materials import, customs bonded warehouse control and the associated record keeping.

• Efficiently coordinate the release of shipments delayed in Customs.
